I’ve lived with Type 1 diabetes for 38 years. Long enough to know exactly what it costs to be unprepared. Long enough to have been caught out, more times than I want to count, without the supplies I needed when I needed them.

For most of those 38 years, I carried my supplies the way most of us do — in whatever I could find. A zip-lock bag. A coin purse at the bottom of my bag. Something always missing, something always almost-good-enough.

I kept thinking: there has to be something better. Something designed by someone who actually understands T1D life. Something that keeps your supplies safe, accessible, and always with you — but that you actually want to carry. Something beautiful.

I looked everywhere. I ordered cases and bags from every place I could find.

Everything was plastic, medicinal, and ugly. Everything came from a factory far, far away.

I couldn’t find what I wanted or needed, so I taught myself leatherwork and made it myself.

Every Ready, Sweetie piece is made entirely by hand — by me, in my studio in Jupiter, Florida. Full-grain leather. Polished brass or polished nickel hardware. Nothing outsourced. Nothing from a factory. Each piece signed.

The collection is growing. Please be patient as I create and prototype new designs. Suggestions from the community are always welcome — you know better than anyone what you need.
